"One of Us" is a song written by Eric Bazilian (of The Hooters) and originally released by Joan Osborne. Released in March 1995 on the album Relish and produced by Rick Chertoff, it became a top 40 hit in November of that year. The song deals with various aspects of belief in God by asking questions inviting the listener to consider how they might relate to God, such as "Would you call [God's name] to his face?" or "Would you want to see [God's face] if seeing meant that you would have to believe in things like heaven and in Jesus and the saints and all the prophets?" The title of the song comes from the refrain, "What if God was one of us?"The album version starts off with a prayer-like southern chant : Oh, one of these nights at about twelve o'clock/ This whole earth is gonna reel and rock / Saints will tremble and cry for pain / For the Lord's gonna come in his heaven airplane. The single edit doesn't contain this intro. The song received Grammy nominations in 1996 for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.

"That's What Friends Are For" is a 1982 song written by Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager and introduced by Rod Stewart for the soundtrack of the film Night Shift. The song is far better known for its cover version by Dionne Warwick and Friends. A one-off collaboration featuring Gladys Knight, Elton John and Stevie Wonder released as a charity single in the United Kingdom and the United States in 1985, it was recorded as a benefit for American Foundation for AIDS Research, and raised over US$3 million for that cause. The tune peaked at number one for three weeks on the soul chart and for four weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 1986 and became Billboard's number one single of 1986. In 1988, the Washington Post wrote, "So working against AIDS, especially after years of raising money for work on many blood-related diseases such as sickle-cell anemia, seemed the right thing to do. 'You have to be granite not to want to help people with AIDS, because the devastation that it causes is so painful to see. I was so hurt to see my friend die with such agony,' Warwick remembers. 'I am tired of hurting and it does hurt.'"The Dionne and Friends version of the song won the performers the Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, as well as Song of the Year for its writers, Bacharach and Bayer Sager. It also was ranked by Billboard magazine as the most popular song of 1986. I also like the version where Whitney Houston and Luther Vandross take a part.

Placing A Warning Sign

For me, safe driving do not just depend on the driver but also to some other factors like warning signs that will give awareness to those drivers. For me, no matter how careful the driver is and if there are no signs that will warn them whether the area is an accident prone or there is an on going construction, it will be useless. This is the reason why there are some approved laws that will set legal punishments to those who will not implement such laws. If the area is an accident prone, residents should place aluminum signs that will warn drivers to drive carefully once they reached the place. This is also a standard operating procedure to all buildings or any other establishments that is under construction. Same thing goes with deep excavation. Placing a warning sign is very necessary to give awareness to drivers and give protection to all residence who is residing on that area.

"I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" is a soul song, written by Kenneth Gamble, Leon Huff and Jerry Ross in 1966 which was a Top 20 R&B hit for Dee Dee Warwick in 1966-1967 and then a Top 30 Pop hit in 1968 for Madeline Bell before having its most successful incarnation as a recording by Diana Ross & the Supremes with The Temptations which reached #2 in January 1969. Ross & the Supremes and the Temptations performed several of the songs from their joint album on their headlining TCB television special which aired in December 1968 and it was originally planned that their rendition of "The Impossible Dream", the special's climactic performance, be their joint album's lead single. Indeed the Ross/Supremes & Temptations version was never to be performed live (the Temptations did perform "I'm Gonna Make You Love Me" on The Ed Sullivan Show and Diana Ross performed the song on The Hollywood Palace duetting with Stevie Wonder).

Should I Be Happy or Not?

I don’t know if I should be happy or not with this Typhoon Basyang. Thankful because classes were suspended and quizzes are being postponed. But even I am celebrating this one day vacation; I am still upset because we lost our internet Connection yesterday. Oh and we also lost the whole power supply for almost a day. I am so upset because I thought I will have a chance to play my favorite USA casino games and watch my favorite shows but since it is brown out, I can’t do anything but to wait until the power supply is restored. Actually, on that day, I am planning to play my favorite Roulette but I was like frozen because I can’t do anything. I do not have anything to keep my self busy as well. The power supply was restored early this morning and said to say, I have to go back to school as classes are being resumed as well. So sad to say, I have to wait until Saturday when I am allowed to play casino games. My mom is very strict when it comes to this. She tried to minimize our hours of usage of the internet to save energy and to lessen the electric bills too.

A new Hobby

Sorry guys if i failed to visit your site lately i was just too busy with my work and with my new hobby as well. Yup, i have a new hobby, something that is more exciting than any other game that i am usually playing before. I am hooked now at playing Casino games. My most favorite games are Roulette and Slot Machines because unlike any other casino games, roulette and slot machines require no skills or techniques for ou to win. However, you can maximize your chances of winning by useful strategies. I never been in a real life casino so i can't compare if playing it online is much better of not but i am very satisfied with online casino because i can still feel the intense while playing. Since it is online, it is quite risky if you deal on a website that you are not really familiar with. It is better if you observed and check some feedback about this site before you bet for money. Right now, my uncle is helping me to find the Best online casino by providing me list of reliable websites like http://www.onlinecasino.org.in. Again, you are dealing with real money here so what i can advised is that you should be wise and be very observant before dealing with any online casino site. Take care and enjoy playing.

"Rainy Days and Mondays" is a 1971 song by The Carpenters that went to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was certified Gold by the RIAA. It was also the duo's fourth #1 song on the Adult Contemporary singles chart; however, it failed to chart in the United Kingdom until it went to #63 in a reissue there in 1993.
The song was composed in 1971 by then fairly unheard-of composers Roger Nichols and Paul Williams. It was released as the first track on the album Carpenters. The B-side on the single is "Saturday."
Olivia Newton-John, one of Karen's best friends, recorded a cover version of this song in her album Indigo: Women of Song as a tribute to Karen.

Bluedreamer's Choice No 2
**************************
Write the Songs" is a popular song by Barry Manilow from 1975 written by Bruce Johnston. Manilow's version reached #1 on theBillboard Hot 100 chart in early 1976 after spending two weeks atop the Billboard adult contemporary chart in December 1975. It won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year and was nominated for Record of the Year in 1977 and became one of Manilow's signature songs. Manilow was initially reluctant to record the song, stating in his autobiography Sweet Life: "The problem with the song was that if you didn't listen carefully to the lyric, you would think that the singer was singing about himself. It could be misinterpreted as a monumental ego trip." After persuasion by Clive Davis, then president of Arista Records, Manilow relented and recorded the song, and his version of "I Write the Songs" was the first single taken from the albumTryin' to Get the Feeling. It first charted on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 15, 1975, reaching the top of the chart nine weeks later, on January 17, 1976. The song is also recorded by David Cassidy
